In particular, authentic live impressions from our eco event formats or our presence at trade fairs and conferences were brought more into the communicative focus. In addition, we increasingly implemented calls on social and politically relevant issues in social media-friendly formats and prepared quotes from leading figures in the Internet industry on relevant topics for eco\u2019s social media channels.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Strongest growth on LinkedIn<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The number of followers developed positively on LinkedIn and Facebook. We recorded the strongest growth in followers on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/showcase\/eco-association\">LinkedIn<\/a>, with an increase of +20.41 per cent compared to the previous year. On <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/ecoverband\">Facebook<\/a>, we achieved an increase of +6.88 per cent. On <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/eco_en\">Twitter\/X<\/a>, the number of followers declined slightly by -1.82 per cent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>LinkedIn was also our strongest social media channel in terms of reach \u2013 the total impressions were roughly on a par with the previous year. The average engagement rates and therefore the number of user interactions per post developed positively on LinkedIn. Postings from the <a href=\"https:\/\/international.eco.de\/topics\/gaia-x-international\/\">Gaia-X topic<\/a> environment were also particularly popular. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Continuation of employer advocacy activities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>As our own employees still play a central role in reputation management, especially on social media, we continued our employer advocacy activities in 2023. The eco Association Communications team therefore provided eco colleagues with content suggestions to share via LinkedIn&#8217;s recommended content function. The Association Communications team was also on hand to advise interested employees in one-to-one sessions. In the [eco]rporate Influencer section of the eco internal newsletter [eco]mmunity, the Association Communications team provided continuous information on updates to the algorithm, new formats and features.    <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Paid media: Awareness campaigns for the Data Centre Expert Summit and the Internet Security Days on LinkedIn<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2023, we will continue to focus on increasing reach on our relevant social media platforms via paid adverts. In the year under review, the <a href=\"https:\/\/international.eco.de\/news\/data-center-expert-summit-2023-the-future-is-just-the-beginning\/\">Data Centre Expert Summit<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/international.eco.de\/events\/internet-security-days-2023\/\">Internet Security Days<\/a> were supported by awareness campaigns on LinkedIn.
