eco PR Briefing

With our regular interactive online format, eco PR Briefing (in German only), we once again brought together communication and marketing managers from our eco member companies in 2023 to learn from each other, leverage synergies and exchange ideas on strategic communications topics.

In March, Judith Fauser from Bechtle joined us to speak about corporate influencers. She heads the corporate influencer programme at Bechtle. She shared her expertise with the participants of the eco PR Briefing on successfully setting up a corporate influencer programme in the company.

In June, our core focus was on ChatGPT and related technologies. Bosse Kubach, Rebecca Nothvogel and Markus Göbel from Microsoft Germany gave valuable tips under the motto “Generative AI as a game changer in corporate communication” on how artificial intelligence can be used in everyday communication, for which areas generative AI is particularly suitable and how communication managers can best design prompts.

In autumn, our eco PR Briefing was all about media relations. Roger Homrich, freelance editor-in-chief at ZDNet.de and Silicon.de, shared his perspectives and experiences, gave deep insights into the day-to-day work of journalists, and showed what is really helpful and effective when placing topics and experts.

In December, Sidonie Krug, Head of eco Association Communications, and Sven Oswald, journalist and digital expert, gave a deep dive into eco’s German-language podcast “Das Ohr am Netz” (An Ear to the Internet). The two have been co-hosting the eco podcast since autumn 2022. In “Das Ohr am Netz”, they talk about current topics from the digital world, present news and opinions on top digital policy issues, and welcome exciting guests from the digital economy, politics, science and civil society.
