EuroISPA

eco is a founding member of the European umbrella Internet Service Providers Association, EuroISPA, which has its headquarters in Brussels and which has been actively representing the interests of its members at the European level since 1997.

The members meet regularly in seven expert committee groups and at quarterly general assemblies, in order to both exchange information and views on national and European developments and to develop position papers and statements.

In 2023, EuroISPA and its committees further advanced their political activities on a range of key topics and contributed to the debate on European dossiers and regulatory procedures in the areas of online content, data economy, cybersecurity and infrastructure.

The Board was newly elected at the General Meeting in Helsinki in December. Lars Steffen, Head of International, Digital Infrastructures & Resilience at eco, represents eco at EuroISPA.

In addition to the work carried out by EuroISPA over the past year, a manifesto was drafted to accompany the 2024 European elections, comprising recommendations for an innovative and fair European Internet ecosystem.
